Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr Grewal has been a Psychiatrist for over two decades and as well as his private work with Bayberry (having been a member of our team for over ten years) he holds a substantive NHS post as Consultant Psychiatrist in Urgent Care Psychiatry in Coventry and Warwickshire.
He qualified as a doctor with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) degree in 1993 from The Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, London, and worked for 9 years thereafter gaining a wide medical experience in various specialties including Anaesthetics, Paediatrics and A&E before specialising in Psychiatry.
He became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2005 and received his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2008. He is dual qualified- and listed on the GMC Register as a specialist in both General Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry.
He has further specialised in the treatment of Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) with Addiction and Psychiatric Disorders, and has, for many years, offered support and guidance to the Sick Doctors Trust (SDT) and the British Doctors and Dentists Group (BDDG). He has significant experience treating doctors whose registration is restricted by the GMC.
He achieved a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Open University in 2011, and is a member of The Society for the Study of Addiction (SSA), The Medical Council on Alcohol (MCA) and the Spirituality and Psychiatry Special Interest Group of The Royal College of Psychiatrists.
He is a Member of the Royal Colleges of Psychiatrists (RCPsych), and the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and holds full Medical Indemnity Insurance with the MDDUS.
He also takes an active role in training and teaching Medical Students and Junior Doctors.
