Mandy's interest lies deep within the fields of psychotherapy and psychology. From her early training to her work as a senior psychotherapist, programme director and ultimately Chief Executive of Bayberry, she has devoted her professional life to improving therapeutic services, helping individuals develop a better understanding of their emotional and relational difficulties, and empowering them to achieve an improved quality of personal, social and professional life.
For Mandy, it's important to help the community overcome the stigma around mental health, relationship and sexual difficulties, and to support people from every background, including LGBTQIA+ people and their families, and those with and without faith, while creating more opportunities for therapeutic experiences. She works through an anti-oppressive lens and is entirely non-judgemental of any presenting issue, meeting clients within their own worldview and working toward their goals.
While leading Bayberry, Mandy has helped develop and deliver services supporting people with anxiety and trauma, complex relationship needs, identity, sex and sexuality, psychosexual difficulties, compulsive sexual behaviours, recovery from sexual trauma and intimate partner abuse, as well as broader issues of meaning and purpose.
